One man in Phoenix has
been using magnetite and has experienced phenomenal results!
Here is how he uses
the magnetite: He feeds magnetite to birds with
peanut oil. Sprinkle the peanut oil lightly on the feed. Then
add one big tablespoon of magnetite sprinkled on the feed. Use
one tablespoon for every 2 pounds of feed. For 100 birds he
uses about 10 lbs. in a period of 3 months. He also mixes the
magnetite in with grit using 2 tablespoons of magnetite in a
regular grit pail with 2 lbs. of grit. He feeds the pigeons
Sunday through Thursday during race season.
He also found that magnetite
seems to firm up the pigeons' droppings. They can also hold
condition longer when fed with magnetite.
